how good

CREATIVE

Helping brands create good for people and the planet.

WHY?

Too many people are doing it tough. And our planet needs protecting more than ever.

Many brands want to help, but aren’t sure where to start.

Other brands are already creating impact - but the good they’re doing isn’t always seen, shared, or celebrated.

How Good is here to change that - bringing good to life and creating impact that keeps on giving.

It all STARTS with an idea.

OneWave x Royal Visit – Fluro Friday (2018)

Event leadership & community coordination

The Idea
Use a once-in-a-generation moment to bring colour, community, and conversation to mental health.

My Role
Led the planning and delivery of a special OneWave Fluro Friday during the royal visit to Australia, working closely with the OneWave community, volunteers, and partners.

The Outcome
Thousands of people welcomed Prince Harry and Meghan to OneWave’s Fluro Friday at Bondi Beach, helping spark a global conversation around mental health. With international media coverage and huge community support, the event showed how simple, people-led ideas can spark meaningful conversations about mental health around the world.

In the months that followed, Fluro Fridays expanded to more than 10 new locations worldwide, and OneWave’s school programs continued to grow.

OneWave 10-Year Anniversary – Bondi Beach

Community event leadership

The Idea
Celebrate 10 years of the OneWave community by bringing colour to mental health in a powerful, visual way - a human fluro wave stretching the length of Bondi Beach.

My Role

I led the idea, planning, and delivery of OneWave’s 10th birthday event, supported by volunteers and community members, and delivered on a minimal budget.

The Outcome
More than 1,000 people joined hands along the length of Bondi Beach, creating a powerful moment of connection and belonging.

What this experience shaped

How simple, community-powered ideas can create meaningful impact without large budgets or heavy production.

OneWave x WSL x Hydralyte

Partnership Idea, Development & management

The Idea
Combine the global reach of professional surfing with the heart of a grassroots mental health charity and a wellness-focused brand — using surfing, colour, and community to bring mental health conversations to life worldwide.

By activating the partnership at World Surf League events, the goal was to create global visibility for mental health while delivering real, local impact through school programs in the communities where those events take place.

My Role

I developed and pitched the initial partnership concept to the World Surf League, around shared values and a belief that surfing and community can be powerful tools for mental health.

I continue to lead and manage the partnership, working closely with the WSL and Hydralyte teams through ongoing planning, delivery, and fortnightly WIP check-ins to ensure the collaboration remains aligned, impactful, and sustainable year on year.

The Outcome
Now in its fourth year, the partnership has grown from its early years at Bells Beach to also include the Gold Coast Pro, expanding its reach and supporting mental health school programs that have impacted more than 6,000 young people.

What this experience shaped

How combining global platforms with grassroots purpose - and backing it with the right brand partners, who share the same values - can create lasting impact at both a worldwide and community level.

MEET THE FOUNDER

How Good Creative was founded by Grant Trebilco, who brings 20 years of marketing experience and over a decade building OneWave—a global mental health charity and social impact movement.

What started as a simple idea at Bondi Beach grew into Fluro Friday events in 50+ countries and mental health programs that have supported over 50,000 students and 5,000+ people in workplaces.

After facing his own mental health challenges, Grant created OneWave to give more people the chance to ride waves and talk about mental health. That lived experience continues to shape everything we do.

Now, through How Good Creative, he’s combining that journey with client- and agency-side experience to help others create good for people, the planet—and your brand.
